University of the 3rd Age, who we are, and what we offer...

U3A Redlands is part of an international organisation that provides opportunities for people who are no longer working full-time to come together to learn, volunteer, continue their interests, and take up new pursuits. There are no exams nor homework, just regular classes. It’s learning for fun, not with the goal of achieving a qualification.

Who can attend U3A classes?
There are no age limits but U3A is designed for people who no longer work full-time – retired or semi-retired. 

Where are U3A classes held?
U3A aims to be as accessible as possible – classes are held in various locations throughout the Redlands such as a community hall, church or library.

What can I learn in a U3A class?
There’s a wide range of courses ranging from Languages, Music, Cards, Games, Writing, Book Clubs, Physical Activities, Meditation, Computing, Travel, Art and Craft, Performance Arts and a Lecture Series.  Each class group has its own volunteer leader or co-ordinator who has a particular interest or expertise in the subject.

How much does a U3A class cost?
Annual membership at U3A Redlands is $40 for an individual and $75 for a couple. Each class may have additional minimal fees for consumables or venue hire. Fees are usually much lower than those of most adult education courses because we are run by volunteers. Join in July for half yearly fee.

Joining is a great way to broaden your horizons, participate in fitness and lifestyle activities, and socialise with like-minded people – all close to home.
