You can apply for membership by completing our online form and then paying your application fee by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer).
Yes. Your U3A Redlands membership is valid for one calendar year (1st January to 31st December) and needs to be renewed each year in order to continue attending classes.
To join a class, you must be a current member of U3A Redlands. Contact the tutor prior to attending any class. Their contact details are in our Newsletter or available from the office. Please remember to show your membership card at your first class.
For Computer Classes, please contact our Computer Co-ordinator - information available from our office. Courses are run Term by Term and interested members can be put onto a waiting list. New classes are advertised in our Newsletter, on this website, and in the Community Section of the local Bayside Bulletin.
The cost of the class will be explained by the tutor and is minimal to cover cost of materials, morning tea and hall hire.
The classes are run by volunteer members who give their time voluntarily. Classes are mainly conducted during the day and in many venues throughout Redland City. The tutor will provide you with details on sign up.
Unless otherwise stated, all classes start during the first week of the school term. It is essential to contact a tutor before joining a class as it may be fully booked. Please remember to show your membership card at your first class.
Initially, contact the U3A Tutor Liaison Officer by contacting our office and providing a description of your proposed class. The Tutor Liaison Officer will guide you through the steps required.
U3A Redlands is a voluntary organisation. Our members elect the Management Committee office bearers for the year at the Annual General Meeting, held in November every year. U3A Redlands District Inc. operates under a formal constitution which is designed to cover the requirements of U3A.
U3A Redlands holds Public Liability Insurance which is designed to indemnify us for action taken against us by the general public as a result of injury or damage caused to persons or their property during the activities of U3A.
